Was nice to see the sentry gun.

ETA: Have you heard anything about a delay in release?
Noticed a post elsewhere, and wasnt sure if it was legit or not.

After the massive hack at EA that I posted about earlier that included the frostbite engine, I wouldnt doubt it. Just curious if you've seen anything related to a delay.

Been reading the reviews on Steam...

Cant say I've ever seen a AAA dev game with an:"Overwhelmingly Negative" user review score. Ouch.

Looks like the price has dropped... When was the last time you saw a reduced price a month into a games release?

This game is a disaster, a total disaster.

after the hype of the trailers, 4 game studios involved in developing it, one year additional developing time..this is what they pulled out of their arses??

>the horrible
-fps
jumps everywhere. we are not talking 3-5fps variance. we are talking 10-15 drops for no reason.
fps also lowers down when you aim down the sights. Can you imagine? in the heat of the fight, those precious milliseconds, and the fps lowers 15 frames.

-Mouse
whenever i got into the tank and then exited it, the mouse would not turn right or left. It was stuck in the tank turn area. How can you ♥♥♥♥ up this bad???

-The price
there are people that paid FULL PRICE for this, or even bought royal premium XxX_DeATHrEAPER_XxX version for much more.
Didnt you learn anything? its EA we are talking about. You get what you deserve.

-The maps
generic, they have no soul, you just run around like a headless chicken with no purpose. Just point and shoot, pew pew.
Since i was disgusted by the 2042 maps, i opened portal, old maps would be great, no?
 they modified them to make them bigger, but in doing so the epic battles for dominance are diluted.
There is no fun to be had.

-The assets
BF1 medic soldier has been recycled as soldier.
the chinese girl soldier is also in BFV.
All the BC2 models are so bad they look fan-made.
Not all the weapons are included in the portal mode. what is the point then? i want my machine-gun, is it too much to add?

-The music, sounds
somebody just farted into a microphone with distortion. I will let this slide since this has been going since BF3.

-The free weekend
This game was dead on arrival. The proof is that there's a % discount 2 weeks after launch, and a free weekend. Can you imagine any game with a free weekend just after it launched?
Its already in the terminal stages of death from a cancer,

Free is too high a price for this shaite

I have no ideea how someone could even have the thought of putting this up as an actual product that is finished. I have managed to eventually get into a match after 30 mins of the game either loading to the menu after loading a map/match and/or crashing. It stutters like crazy. This game one good feature, after about 5 mins it crashes the video driver so it spares me the pain of playing it any longer. If i were testing it as an Alpha it would still be painful to play but then there would be an excuse of it being so bad.

Red flags of this game:
- the game goes out of it's way to acknowledge the existence of all ethnicities except white people.
- marketing budget was definetly bigger than the actual development cost which most probably was done with slave labour, it's that bad
- it's basically a Battlefield game with all of the features people used and liked stripped out and with political stuff added instead which in no way shape or form add to the game experience or matter for a game like this.

This is intentional, it's not a bug someone did not catch, it's a horrible buggy mess, i can only thank for the free weekend to play this game decide i'm not going to touch anything EA any time soon.

This one is more in line with what I am curious about. No scoreboard? Cant change squads? What about the server browser situation? Can you join on friends? Is Q key spotting still a thing? I gots questions... On just basic "battlefield" server browser and ingame functionality, we have come to know/expect over the years of playing this franchise .

Product received for free
I was thinking of buying it because the trailers were amazing and now it came out play free for the weekend and I said let's try it first and then buy it but from what it looks I won't buy it because it's not exactly like that as I expected it

Was on the fence, but believe the reviews, DO NOT BUY. Save your money.

I genuinely feel bad for anyone who paid full price, especially now as they are offering 34% off, less than a month after launch.

Strange class and specialist selection, Poorly optimised, Bugs everywhere, No server browser and you can't even see your own death count?!

Do not buy Battlefield 2042

DICE\EA know how to make a “Battlefield” game.
DICE\EA made trailers that promoted this game.

Missing Core Features
> No standard server browser
> Fewer standardized game modes
> Fewer base game maps than any other title (even including portal the map count is only 13)
> No persistent lobbies You have to matchmake after EVERY round
> Fewer in-game assignments None outside of cosmetic unlocks
> Less character customization options (than BF5)
> No profile progress/stats page in the menu
> No battle log/stats tracker for other players
> No global leaderboards
> No end of round assignment progress screen
> No custom emblems
> Fewer achievements
> No medals
> No swelling crescendo of dramatic music near the end of a match. Static Noise does not count
> Less destruction
> Only a small handful of destructible buildings on each map
