So, lets spend some!

Turd needs a laptop. One that can run Bf3 on at least medium settings. Bet Groove will have some good feedback for this one.

There's actually a pretty good number of laptops that will play BF3 well now. What other action items do you need?

- Screen: Okay with 1366x768 or are you looking for 1920x1080
- Hard drive: you need SSD or spinning (space)? You can always upgrade this later yourself as well.
- Keyboard - do you need backlit?
- Battery - you need it to go all day when not fragging, or will this be plugged in all the time?
- Weight/size - You gonna do some productivity with it as well and carry it around, or just lock n load on your desk?
- Screen type: Matte or Glossy, you ever work or use it outside?
- DVD Plyr - You need bluray support, or don't need one at all (e.g. for ultrabook)

Fortunately there's a lot of good options there. The most important item of course is $. Let me know your budget.

Thanks Groove. He will be out of pocket for a bit, but I told him about this thread, so maybe he'll check in.

I'll answer what I can.

1 -
2 - Does not need SSD
3 - Might be nice, but not a deal breaker.
4 - Use @ hotel while OTR. Huge battery not a priority.
5 - Size = 17". No productivity, other than dying by my hands ALOT.
6 - See 4
7 - DVR prolly good enough. Dont think they make 3D pron yet. Wont need bluray.  ;D

no idea about budget. Does have a wifey, so prolly going to have to run past her  (or, buy gift of "equal or greater value" ) No idea really, but would guess Spray went way over the budget w/ his entry. But I did like the ASUS had a two year bumper to bumper.

If you don't need 3D (which gives me headaches, I actually pass on the option), this is likely the best hardware at the price point: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230408 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230408)

If you have a lower budget, there are very good options out there, just need a feel for how much loot ya gots.
