With all the "AR hoopla" going on of late, seems I've been giving thought to my firearm situation. Have put the ar15 stripped lower on the back burner untill one comes available (hopefully later this week) and give a little thought to my handguns.
One local FFL holder I talked to said he had ar15 stripped lowers, but the the asking price was WAY TOO HIGH... In my desperation, I got to thinking about my Glock model 22, and thought "I could trade my Glock for that" lol. Well, I let that idea pass, but still thinking about a trade/sale, and seriously considering this as an eventual replacement.

I've got a Taurus PT92, and am very happy with the brand. When I first got it mid 90's, I did have to send it back to have an adjustment made to fix a FTE (failure to eject) problem. Its been a fantastic gun since.
While I appreciate all the simplicity and reliability the Glock brings with it, its far too big for a concealed carry (especially in the summer - thin clothing). I am happy w/ the PT92, and dont see the need for two "large frame" pistols. This Taurus PT709 Slim, looks pretty good to me.

Would be curious if a longer barrel could be put on it?
Any firsthand suggestions for a CC? No kel tec's please :)
