Hi, my new PC is up and running like a demon...what a difference!! I have noticed a new message though...I sometimes get a box appear on my screen with the letters 'D-SUB' in it...the screen blinks for a second or two then carries on as normal...any ideas? the screen I am using is my GFs one, much bigger than my old one...I think it is running in 1440x900 resoltion...ingame, I run the specs on high graphics 1024 by something I think...the message appears infrequently...

I have an LCD monitor using the 15 pin VGA adapter (I think)...I have also noted that both my PC and the monitor also have a white 30 pin plus 4 in a box shaped slots...the adapter I am using at the moment ( normal VGA one is securely plugged in...I ahve also sometimes noticed that some of the graphics in BF2142 appear weird when in high quality mode...sometimes (not always) the tops of the trees are missing, and the other day I noticed that some of the bushes had changed shape / colour...not that I am overly fussy about my foilage, but the trees looked at their best with branches and leaves - lol...

Happens to me sometimes too. Its like the game engine doesnt draw the "details" untill you get close enough to an object, before it thinks its important enough for you to deserve to see it.
Check your ingame video settings and see if they are on high.

cheers...settings are on high...it doesn't always happen...like you say, perhaps EA don't think I need to see the leaves for the trees - pardon the cliche...lol
