I got the included games this morning.

I got 3 guest passes (3 day trial) for anyone that wants to give any of the games in the box set a whirl.

Post here is you want one of the passes.

EDIT: Sale is over. Back to $29.99 for the box set.

Will still be happy to share the guest passes.

Groove. You said in the past that you used to be a fan of this series. If I were to tinker around with the single player versions here and there, what order do i take them in? TIA!

Half Life 2 is awesome! The graphics will look a little dated with what we're used to, but the single player campaign is excellent (and pretty long and in depth)! I would do them in order, Half-Life 2 first, and then obviously ep1 and ep2 (they are part of the same storyline). I actually have HL2 and play it about once a week for an hour or so. Now that I can run it at 1920x1080, I appreciate it much more. The zombie parts are pretty creepy. The gamplay and physics are really good. The girlies really like the Portal game. Team Fortress was fun for about an hour, but the cartooniness wasn't my bag.

Cool, thanks!

yeah, I've been curious about this one for a while now. I saw a post at FPS about a new game (thought it was the next one in this series) and thought I'd better get up to speed with the game.

My cherrypickeritis kicked in, and had to grab it @ the sale price. Will give me something "new" to tinker with, when I need a break from the fast paced action of BO.

^Sorry Joe. Guess it was one of those Steam  24 hour "hit and run" deals. I'll get you the pass when were done w/ BO tonight.

I had a look at the games that installed from the set, and there is one called Half Life 2: Lost Coast. Where is that one in the order of the games?

Lost Coast isn't part of the story, that was a 'new' (at the time) method of lighting called Bloom. For the high end cards. Just a standalone story, I think actually it's all on one island with some fighting and then trying to take down a gunship, that's it I think.
