Idle comp is dead. Well almost.

Think its the GPU. 8800GTS. Had it for years.

Will upgrade my big rig and pass my one on to Boca. Then I can fit Boca's into my idle rig.

Anyways, will only have one comp to idle with untill its sorted.


Now for the help from you guys. Need some advice on what to buy.

Short list is as follows:

 XFX ATI Radeon HD 6870 1024MB
 Asus ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC 2048MB
 MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB

Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti 1024MB
Gainward GeForce GTX 560Ti "Phantom" 2048MB

Whakinda hardware you running outside of GPU, and what kind of monitor/resolution do you usually play?

2GB ddr5 each. Pick your poison. Either should handle Bf3 in style, and chew up and spit out any console port for years to come.

i had one comp with Gainward 8800gts 320mb and one with Asus 8800gts 320mb and the Asus made trouble from day 1 but the Gainward has never been trouble with, lucky me i got newer screen/v-cards now, one AGP 2600Pro 512mb, One Gainward  9800 512mb, one Radeon XFX/Pine 5750 1 Gig, and still the Gainward 8800gts in the oldest comp, and sent the Asus 8800 to my Buddy Ice(Swe)/Ice(DK) cause he needed to borrow a screencard, but it ended up not beeing used since i sent him 450 euro instead to new computer parts instead.
