From the mighty and powerful DICE:

Quote
Starting today, we are introducing a new way to acquire Battlepacks, the bundles of content that provide a mix of in-game items including accessories, emblem shapes, profile pictures, dog tags, XP boosts, knives, and paints. Battlepacks can still be earned through normal gameplay progressions, but we are now giving players the option to purchase Battlepacks as a shortcut to catch up with their friends on the Battlefield.

The Battlepacks come in three varieties: Bronze Battlepacks will cost $1, Silver Battlepacks will cose $2, and Gold Battlepacks will cost $3. The Battlepacks will be available at the Xbox Live Marketplace’s in-game store and the PlayStation Store, as well as through Origin.com and Battlelog.com.

With microtransactions now in play, I only wonder how much longer will DICE leave server money on the table...

You guys got it good. In Europe, they cost 1€, 2€ and 3€ which is approx 1.4$, 2.75$ and 4$.

But DICE and EA did a great job again.

Well, in case you replied to me, Ed, how am I supposed to earn Battlepacks, except the weapon ones that always drop only useless 25% boosts after I reach level 120?

Craig,

Ed was not taking about you.

This is a general thought that we all should share.

" Don't purchase any unlock or battlepacks" The game is about earning them in battle.

Its what we do most nights as well as having some FUN with friends.

Enjoy the game.....

I'd enjoy the game. But if you'd see one round on our TDM server, you'd see why I can't. Yet I think that the purchasable BPs are a big load of BS. They promised us free BPs.

What I want is a trade. Let's say you still have at least 20 of 100% and 200% XP boost in bank, how about being able to trade those for a rebate coupon of 50% off the Premium package? Conditionnal to reach at least rank 100 first. :)

Bye.

True. I mean, I don't see some of the members here really use the camos and knives they get, and they have a lot more of those than I do, and I love knifing people (ain't that true Blackhand?) and stepping out of the crowd. I'd trade all my boosts (100-150) for a single camo...
