Yesterday, from the time I dropped to idle to getting to work (about 1 hour) my PC crashed. It does this about every 2 days now. Running stress prime on it now. I have a feeling the problem is one of my hard disks, but now have to go through the PIA of tracking down what it is.

it may not be the same issue I had, but mine used to do the same...I had two problems...one was the 'seat' that the RAM card sat in had a problem, the other was with heat...my PC would run fine in idle mode for a day or two, and then it would develop issues and start crashing...it has meant that I cannot leave it to run all day long on its own...your problem may not be the same, but it brings back some unhappy memories...

After a bunch of tests, unfortunately everything is pointing at the Crucial M4 as the culprit (which is of course my main OS drive).  Gonna try some more tests and open a case with Crucial. In the interim, I might take a spinning drive and use that as the OS, but I feel like that is barbaric nowadays. My crucial boots from BIOS to desktop in 4 seconds. The Seagate 7200rpm I have takes 40 seconds. Man, that fast I got addicted to SSDs, I was using spinning drives until 4 months ago...

Lately it's been ok, seems to lock up if running overnight. Every time I have played, it's been fine. Got the mother in law coming in for the next two weeks (we lost daycare), and she likes to use my computer to open like 5 screens of farmville at the same time (since it will handle it). If she starts whining about the restarts tho, I'm just going to RMA the drive and be down for 1-2 weeks. I just can't deal with whining right now.
