I confirm that's a good call. If you're not updating your Direct X, the game will surely not be optimised. I tried to play with the average medium settings, it's still choppy for me when I'm close to water. But in city terrain surroundings, I would say that most of the choppyness is gone, yes. It's still not perfect, but it's playable.

That game is supposed to be optimized for AMD vidcards. Well, my HD7850 2GB is surelly making the rule's exception, then.

Now imho this may be the correct video settings to run period. 


Notes:  The "unparking" feature is for non-energy saving setups.  Personally I havnt heard of any issues arising, but Id still strongly urge most everyone to consult w/ Butt and/or other guru's before d/l

Agreed, the DX may be a placebo, but when the stuttering is that bad, anything other than waiting on a fix makes one feel better
Yep, the registry aspect is what bothered me.

I am on TS some, but have injured my arm, and unable to play much at all. Cya later
