Thought I'd seen just about everything... Then came the 1-3/4" 12 ga mini-shell.

Claim lower recoil, and the FPS is just a tad slower than the 2-3/4" and 3" stuff I've got laying around.

Could be ok for home defense I suppose... On the plus side, you could load more shots in a pump gun... On the minus side, in the item description it details feeding problems, and possible gun modifications to fix, lol. Reminds me of the immortal words of Big Chief Raincloud: Gun that no go bang, no better than club.

LOL, home defense with a 12ga... Even if you're chopping up the barrel, it's too slow and heavy for proximity shooting and it's a pain to patch up the the 1000's holes on a wall that it will do on a single missed shot. Not mentionning the blood stains... one or two big holes instead of a 1000's smaller ones is doing less of a mess. ;)

In game, I often switch to a more compact riffle (M416 is my fav) or even hand gun (MP443) when I'm expecting to fight into close combat situations.

Bye.

I completely agree with Stoik. A shotgun is indeed too heavy and slow for proximity shooting. Either get a MP5K (I doubt you could get an AEK or AN94 in the US and I can' t think of anything american that fires that fast - except the minigun), or put landmines (not claymores) on your doorstep. (Just like in Police academy  ;D )
