Hell must have frozen over... High speed internet has finally made its way to us. ;D
The utility guys said it would probably be another month or so before its ready for use.
Pretty happy about it. Have a few questions for those that have already made the switch.
I saw the cable they were laying, and its a single solid copper wire.
1) Will I need a new modem/router?
2) Will I need to re wire the house w/ single strand coax? Or, do you still have ethernet cables going from router, to hardwired devices?
If I do need new hardware, suggestions welcome. If change is required, I'll want a device that is VPN capable.
Eric:
I would say yes to the new modem/router to be able to handle the increase in speed :)
modem/router connected to PC by cable everything else is connected by WiFi to modem/router.

But, is the new router a different type of input cable? Or is it still a rj45 connector that we have on the dsl router/modem?
Eric:

Ok, thx. That looks like coax.
Then from the router to your PC, does it use the lan cable?
