I'll have to go on memory for that one . . . Know my new headset I was so pleased to get?

Came into office to put something away, got cord wrapped around foot w/out noticing, walked away.

Now I have a "like new" headset, with two lengths of cord where the mute & volume controls used to be located 

Repair not possible.

Was nice though.
Part of the issue was it was a USB connection, and I plugged it into the back of my keyboard, which instead of it being connected to the back of the PC (out of the way) the cord was draped onto the floor, in the foot path traffic area.

Foul language may or may not have been heard from next door neighbors.

will replace asap

Finally got a new headset... 
Got 2 actually, so I have a backup

Have much more faith in this design surviving my clumsy self.
It does have USB, as its primary plug-in, but also has a rca jack that plugs into the volume/mute switch.

So, "in theory" - it will take one heck of a disaster to rip wires from their leads.

I am also going to find some 1/4" shrink wrap, and re-enforce the area where the wire goes into the headset, because thats where I normally ruin my PC headphones.

But yeah, ordered two this time. . . .
