Just Bought a New Monitor

I have been on this one for...well for forever.  I got it I think about a year before BF2142 came out.  Seems like so long ago...



Someone is selling one on Ebay, new, for $14.00  So it's a little old.

Now this is the new one...

it doesn't cause our POS ISP in this apartment starts throttling our connection if it's on for more than an hour. Also, our electric bill was outrageous last month, so i'm trying to keep the rig off during the day.

lol...just bought one myself...looking forward to breaking it in later...I do however have a question...mine has a similar specification: 24" 5ms etc etc etc...it states I should be able to get 120 , but am only getting 60hz...done the right thing I believe, have gone through windows / display etc and found the refresh rate...I only have two choices though!! 60 or 59hz...so, how the hell do I get the full 120? my video card is: 1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX460 GDDR5 PCI EXPRESS - running DirectX® 11...when I checked pictures of my card on the web, it shows it to have two DVI slots and a mini HDMI...mine however has a VGA slot (currently used) and only one DVI slot...am happy with the size of the monitor, big improvement from the 19", but would like to see it going through its paces...answers on a post card - in english for a non PC person!! lol...

Be sure you are using the DVI port on your monitor, and that you are using a DVI to DVI cable, and that it is going from the DVI port of the monitor in to the DVI on your card.  If VGA (which is analog, not digital) is being used anywhere in the line either on the port end or as an adapter, you most likely will not be able to run at 120Hz.

But you are in the right place there in your display menu.  Go buy a nice DVI cord.  It's worth it.
