It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Don passed away earlier this week.
Don was my close friend for almost 30 years and I find it very hard to put into words the loss I feel.
For all that have known him in this game they will remember a guy that never gave up.
I think it was Pred who summed him up " Vaders does not get mad he gets even".
As in life he fought hard, played hard and enjoyed every minute of this game.
Many a night, Vaders and Boca would play BF2142 until 3 or 4 in morning.
Never once did either of them tell me that the other was staying up way too late. I think they thought it was their little secret.
But I knew, we all knew.
His BF2142 home was with the [308] and that will always be. He will never be forgotten here.
I have no doubt I will see Vaders again in the next Battlefield, until then, rest in peace mate.

First, I must extend my deepest and most sincere sympathies to Dons wife, family, colleagues and friends. I only had the pleasure of his friendship for a few years, yet I am a better person having known him, even if for just a short time. Anything I could say would not begin to comfort those which this loss confronts most directly at a time such as this. I am truly saddened by this loss and have had a heavy heart since I was told of his passing.
We are taught from an early age, that our life will be judged by our actions, and how we treat our fellow man. From my perspective, Don was a gentle, kind, and caring man. All are qualities one could only strive to achieve, yet he lived it on a daily basis. He was friendly to everyone he interacted with here, and will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of his company.
I am at a loss for words, but for those closest to Don, please know I share in the grief and disappointment you all are going through right now.
Sincerely,
butt

I had only meet Don on a few occasions but i could honestly say, he was the nicest guy i have ever met. I look up to him and aspire to be as kind and caring as he was. I know my dad and Don were very close friends and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knows him. There are no words to describe how much ill miss him. He will never be forgotten and will always be remembered. Rest in peace Don.
Sincerely,
Jordan.

weapon of choice: MY BARE HANDS
I spent many nights in Don's squad and we played together through the best of games and the worst.
He seemed to be online almost all the time.
The thing I liked most about him was that he never gave up and always had fun even if he was losing.
He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Joe
