Nice comercial. Good to see Dragba in something a bit of "fun". He always seems so sullen. Henry and Lampard were nice to see together as well. Did John Terry make a brief cameo? A few of the other guys I didnt recognise. Think one of them was a guy from the Brasil national team. Think he playes in the Italian league. Good stuff.

I watched the US vs Turkey friendly today, and my confidence has taken a hit.
Seeing that its been four years, and my memory isnt improving w/ age, how many teams advance from each group? I sure hope its 2. If its 1, I say save the air fare, and save the heartbreak.

dont worry butt, its 2. I think USA will get through. It will be interesting to see how USA do against England. Obviously if they can win against slovenia and algeria then they will go through. Cant wait to see the USA vs England match, think USA mite even be able to sneak a win if they play well.

They sure would have to play 100% better than they did yesterday to have a chance at defeating the UK squad. I didnt see the friendly against Checkoslovakia, but I see they lost that match 4-2. Yesterday they were letting Turkey (non-world cup team) to get behind their defence all day. The US eventually pulled ahead, but it was not a good showing, 2 weeks before the real competition starts.

I've got a question about group play.
Should there be a tie in points (w-l-t) at the end of the group matchs, would the tie breaker be goals scored totals?
PS. Boca, if you find some free time this weekend, can we get an update on the match result thread?

The ranking of each team in each group will be determined as follows:
a) greatest number of points obtained in all group matches;
b) goal difference in all group matches;
c) greatest number of goals scored in all group matches.
If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above three criteria, their rankings will be determined as follows:
d) greatest number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned;
e) goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned;
f) greater number of goals scored in all group matches between the teams concerned;
g) drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee.
So yeah, it goes points, then if they are the same it goes by goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded) then by the amount of goals scored. If its still the same then it goes by head-to-head between the teams who are equal. If all that still cant seperate them then fifa pick one out of a hat
p.s fixtures and results are updated
