Well. Its that time of year again. 22 years ago today, the chopper went down. The anniversery kinda snuck up on me this year, but not w/out a few ironic memories that popped up the last few weeks. I was a huge fan of the music, and had an appreciation for his ability to morph what he picked up from Jimi (and others) and created something of his own. Along side the obvious (his music) I was one of a lucky few, that got to see a different side of "the star". I was one of maybe 15-20 people, that got to hear Stevie "tell his story" one night in Dallas shortly before he died. His battles w/ drugs and booze were well covered. That night off of Forest Lane in Dallas is one I'll always have a great appreciation.

RIP Stevie!

Never knew faith no more covered this. Was looking for something else and stumbeled onto it. Its not bad. Sabbath was better. Worth a listen though

Drug my cd collection out of the closet and finally got it ripped this week. Should be posting up some obscure jams in the next few days.

Was kinda cool finally getting the cd's loaded up. Now I can see what I still have and what "got borrowed". Replace as needed, lol.
Next, is a box of cassette tapes in the garage. Then I'll have to see what tapes I need to find digitally.... AHHH, the madness~!
