Here are a few good deals I found this morning.
You guys that have been talking about upgrades should think about my "king cherry picker" method to PC building. Don't try and save up the entire cost before buying. You'll waste
ALOT
of bread going that route. Pick up a peice here, and a piece there when a sale presents itself. Get your case (nothing fancy, its just a metal box afterall) and start picking up a part a month. Or two parts a month, whatever your budget can afford.
Sign up for the email notification on sales. Most of them are not the greatest, but once a month they usually have some good deals like today.
Look for this at the newegg site and sign up

Here are a few great case buys. There was another case available, but I couldnt copy/paste the details, so sign up for the "e-blast" at newegg and have a look.
One VERY IMPORTANT note on picking out a case for yourself. Make darn sure you choose a ATX Mid Tower or larger. DO NOT GET A "MICRO-ATX"!!!!! It is smaller, and greatly limits the mother boards available to you, as well as other potential configuration problems down the road. Trust me on this one... Read the details on the case before you order. "Mid-Tower ATX" Good. "Micro-ATX" BAD!
This first one is a great price. The shipping is $1.99, so you can get a case for under $20
Rosewill FB-02 Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, come with 1x 80mm Fan

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

$24.99 After $15.00 MIR
The case that would not C/P, is the
Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case. If you use the promotion code, EMCYWNR23 you get free shipping.
Its $40. After a $15 MIR

Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse

But anyhow, just thought I'd share a few good deals w/ a few of you guys that were talking about upgrading your rig, or new builds.
I can't stress enough that when it comes to building a new rig though, dont try and save up to buy all your hardware in one big lump. Buying items on sale, and w/ MIR's (mail in rebates) can save you a heck of alot of money. On the PC I built for the g/f, I saved well over $150 in sales. and MIR's. Thats enough to cover one of the following.... CPU (almost), a GPU, Operating System. But you get the point. The other thing about waiting to do it all at once, if you wait, your stuck with what the market has available at the time, and at the set price. Which again, limits flexability.
Happy Shopping!
